To whom it may concern:

I have concentrated my career in the various Industrial Computer and Automation disciplines. I am ideally suited for a Manufacturing IS/IT Systems Administrator position as I am intimately familiar with both the IS world and Manufacturing Control Systems. While I am currently employed, I am open to considering other opportunities. Please consider the following resume, you may find that I possess skills that are suited to your needs.

I have over 20 years of "real world" experience in the areas of Factory Automation, Process Control, Instrumentation, & Computer technology. I have helped to install and maintain complete plant wide DCS/SCADA systems utilizing a wide variety of instruments to monitor and control various process situations. My experience includes calibration, installation, and tuning of a wide variety of controllers and instruments, from simple process control loops in a manufacturing plant to complex loops found in Steam Power Plants.

On the Computer side, I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, I have integrated PCs, PC Controls, PLCs, microprocessorbased controllers, Robotics, and Human Machinery Interface (HMI) systems, with a variety of Databases and Supervisory Systems. The databases included custom databases (many of which I wrote myself), ERP systems, SCADA Systems ( RSView, Wonderware, etc.), WMS Systems, and CMMS systems. My specialties include automating the Production data collection process, creating professional quality Production reports, and writing extremely user-friendly interfaces for the factory floor personnel.

I am very adept at Customer Relations as I have had extensive contact with the public and have developed the people skills that are required. This makes me well suited for Field Support positions; however, I would want to minimize overnight travel to no more than 30%. I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity, but I greatly prefer Southern Coastal states.

Thank you for your time and consideration, you will find that email is the most efficient way to contact me.

Sincerely,

Michael A. Petro
